Can a perfume really help to alleviate symptoms of anxiety and depression? Yes! Welcome to the magical world of Essential oils, my friends!
Lavender is one of the most versatile essential oils out there. It is considered to be the “Swiss army knife” of essential oils. Meaning, it has the capability to aid with a wide variety of symptoms. Plus, it smells great! Its simple aroma can reduce symptoms of anxiety, stress, depression, and poor concentration. It also promotes feelings of consciousness, health, love and a general sense of well-being.
According to the Reference Guide for Essential Oils, Joy, is a blend created to open emotional blockages. When inhaled, it brings back memories of being loved. When you are experiencing feelings of grief or depression, the adenoids shut down. Joy opens these glands and promotes healing.
This blend contains, Bergamot, Ylang Ylang, Geranium, Rosewood, Lemon, Mandarin, Jasmine, Roman Chamomile, Palmarosa & Rose. All of which contribute, not only to its healing benefits but to its incredible aroma.
This combination of oils is borderline orgasmic! In fact, some of the oils contained in this blend, are actually considered to be an aphrodisiac. (Careful where you’re spraying this stuff, ladies) I will never buy expensive perfumes again! I don’t know about you, but I can’t say that any of my perfumes could provide me with such benefits. I’m pretty sure about the only other thing they gave me, other than smell good, was a headache.
Seriously, though, there are tons of essential oil combinations you could create. The possibilities are endless. With the right supply of oils, you could change up your scent any time you felt so inclined.
You could even put the oils into a 5 ml roller bottle and fill it with a carrier oil. Then rub them onto your wrists, behind your ears and neck. This will achieve the same effects and then some. Because you would then be applying the oils directly to the skin.
Whichever way you choose, you won’t be sorry. Simply combine all ingredients, and shake before EACH use.
**UPDATE 3/10/16** Instead of the fractioned oil, fill the container, with 3/4 Vodka (80-100 proof) and the remainder with distilled water. The vodka is scentless, and it allows the perfume to linger longer and acts as a preservative. Give it a try!!
