DIY All Natural Deodorant — Revised (4/2017)

First of all, I hate the word armpit. I don’t know about anyone else, but personally, I think the name stinks (see what I did there). Seriously though, I don’t like thinking about stinky armpits. So I tried to come up with something clever, like “under arm balm”. But that just sounded ridiculous. And since I couldn’t come up with anything fresh and original, I went with the tried and true, deodorant. Catchy, I know.

What I do love, is how simple it truly is to make. Seriously, you can make your own deodorant in less time then it would take you to pick it out off of the shelves at the store. By now your thinking, why haven’t I been doing this my whole life?!?! Well, maybe not, but I bet you will still be impressed with how easy this really is.

The best part is, that you know exactly what goes in it. I have been more pleased with the results of my homemade stuff, then anything I have ever purchased in a supermarket. Ever.

Feel fee to play around with other scents as well. In addition to that fresh and so clean feel, you are aiming for oils that are antifungal and/or antibacterial in nature. Below is a complete list of other oils you could try, with the same antifungal properties. Just in case Lemongrass and Thyme isn’t your thing.

Tea Tree, Thieves, Cinnamon Bark, Clove, Basil, Cypress, Peppermint, Purification, Oregano, Lemon Myrtle, Spearmint, Rosemary, Rosewood, Lemon, Mountain Savory, Melrose, Abundance, Geranium, Juniper, Lavender, Lemongrass, Mandarin, Palmarosa, Roman Chamomile & Sage.

Any one of these, or a combination of, would do the trick and smell just as great! Feel free to experiment! You can find all these and more here.
